I am thrilled to announce that I am joining BMT WBM, formerly WBM Consulting, to do the coolest of the cool engineering work. I think they hired me because I look so good in coveralls with a body harness, because frankly it can’t be due to my skills. In my first week I lit a table on fire, wired a basic switch incorrectly, and messed up some software. In spite of all that, I look forward to helping my good friend and colleague Ryan Sharp grow the branch here in Denver.

BMT WBM does analytical work on the large machines that perform mining operations. Our branch also has a small set of products that do real-time monitoring of stress and fatigue display to the operators. If you’ve never seen these machines, you’re in for a treat – check out here and here. These things are huge! The mine owners really don’t like it when they break, and that’s where BMT WBM can help.

Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive during Kristin’s and my transition to Denver. These last two years have been really crazy, and we both hope it only gets better from here. Let's celebrate!

Lesson: Don't cut-and-paste links from Word... the quotes get mussed.
